Hi, I’m Jennifer. I’m a health copywriter, content creator, and journalist.

My focus

Health topics

I’ve written about everything from exercise-induced asthma and chronic pain relief methods to workplace burnout and sex-based differences in medical care. As an ex-pat, I can happily write and edit copy in either American English or British English.

Career background

I began my career in community newspapers with a BA in English from UCLA. Later, with an MSc in Journalism from Columbia University, I worked as a senior magazine editor in New York City for top consumer publications. Eventually, I became a full-time journalist, covering health, fitness, nutrition and wellness for global consumer and B2B publications. I’ve contributed health content to hundreds of publications, including Conde Nast Traveler, Health, Elle, Vogue, Self, Fitness, and Women’s Health and partnered with industry-leading businesses and brands, including Pfizer and the North American Menopause Society.

More recently, my life-long interest in personal development and mental wellbeing led me to train as a psychotherapist. I hold a Foundation in Counselling & Psychotherapy and am currently completing an Advanced Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I currently see clients in London at Headstrong and Fresh Start. I have also supported people who feel suicidal at Maytree and women through unplanned pregnancies and beyond at Choices.

I’m passionate about mental and physical wellbeing, both on and off the page. When I’m not writing or editing, you can find me practicing daily yoga, walking through London’s green spaces and along its canals, drawing (mostly plants and flowers), or spending time with friends and family (including my two black cats).
